About Ian Leary
I've lived in Colorado my whole life. I love to snowboard, camp, and go on drives through the mountains. Most of my free time however goes towards working on personal or extracurricular projects.
Ram Rocketry
For the past two years, I've been CSU's Ram Rocketry Club Project Manager. Our most recent project was an Active Fin Stabilization rocket, which successfully corrected it's trajectory in all 3 axis' using fins connected to servo motors.

CAD & CFD
Originally self-taught in Autodesk, now SolidWorks CSWA. I design and 3D print a lot of amateur rocket parts, along with running the assemblies in flow simulations. This proved invaluable on the Active Fin Stabilization project.
Differential Equations Tutor
It wasn't until I found a passion for engineering that I really started to enjoy math. The more applicable it is, the better I am at understanding it. Once I was introduced to differential equations, I was hooked. Now I tutor other students.
